Africa Hackon 2025-04-15 - Completed intensive cybersecurity training at Africa Hackon, covering both defensive and offensive security foundations. Gained practical exposure to security operations and incident response, including SOC monitoring, alert analysis, threat detection, and incident handling processes. Developed a solid understanding of network and infrastructure security, common attack vectors, and adversary techniques, with applied use of the MITRE ATT&CK framework for attack mapping and analysis. Training included hands-on labs in threat detection, data correlation, security reporting, and communicating technical findings. Exposure also included foundational concepts in ethical hacking, web and network security testing, vulnerability identification, and threat intelligence, providing a well-rounded understanding of how attacks occur and how they are detected and mitigated.
